Creation of Global Production System

Situation

After Russell (Sempai co-founder) had created the original production system for this £3bn global construction business in 2007 we were asked to update and formulate a 3 year quality improvement strategy.

Solution

The strategy encompassed Engineering, Operations, Materials, Purchasing and NPI functions.

 

After understanding the current situation on the ground in 12 Business Units we scoped out the way forward. A 3 year practical roadmap was created with key internal staff and I updated the Global Production System for dissemination to 5000+ employees.

Result

The Group Executive adopted the strategy and is driving real, measured quality improvement to the business in both internal & external quality metrics.
